B trilogy

The trilogy is a memory of Banff which visually narrates how the city was founded. They artwork consist of images on mirrors where the reflection of the viewer and the space is blurring, like a shadow, recreating how we remember images from memory. The three of them are related intimately with nature as the city is based in the first national park in Canada; this is present on the work by a different pattern of branches from trees of Banff. The first artwork is about the train, the transport which starts the city creating communication with others places in the search of gold, B Train, shows a train wheel which is juxtaposed with a pattern of red branches. The second artwork, B hot springs is about the “liquid gold”, they didn’t find gold instead they found spring waters, and they created a recreation park, B hotsrpings shows a section of the spring water swimming pool with a green-yellow pattern. The last one, B Spring Hotel is about the hotel which basically lodges people from Europe who come to visit the spring waters, for this one a skyline from the hotel is represented with a coloured pattern.

La trilogía es una memoria de Banff que narra visualmente como fue fundada la ciudad. Son imágenes sobre espejo donde la reflexión del espectador y el espacio son borrosos, a modo de sombra, recreando como recordamos imágenes provenientes de la memoria. Las tres están íntimamente relacionadas con la naturaleza ya que la ciudad fue establecida en lo que es el primer parque nacional de Canadá. En las obras esto es visible por los patrones creados para cada obra con imágenes de los árboles de Banff. La primera obra es acerca del tren, el transporte que abrió la comunicación con otros lugares en búsqueda de oro, B train, muestra la rueda de un tren yuxtapuesta con un patrón de ramas rojas. La segunda obra, B hotsprings , es acerca del “oro líquido”, no encontraron oro, en su lugar encontraron aguas termales y crearon un parque recreacional ,en B hotsprings se muestra una sección de la alberca de aguas termales en relación con un patrón de naturaleza verde-amarillo. La última obra, B springs hotel, es acerca del hotel que hospedaba a personas de Europa que iban a visitar las aguas termales. Una silueta del hotel es representada con un patrón colorido.
